CRCS Sahara Refund Portal, Claim form ,Login, Registration Process & Status Check

Introduction

On 29.03.2023 Hon’ble Supreme Court has directed that Rs. 5000 Crores be transferred out of the “Sahara-SEBI Refund Account”, to the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) for disbursement against the legitimate dues of the genuine depositors of the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies in the most transparent manner and on proper identification and on submitting proof of their identity and deposits and proof of their claims and to be deposited in their respective bank account directly.

If your money is stuck with Sahara Group then you too can file a claim for the refund of your money.

The Sahara Societies will verify the claim and process in 30 days after the successful submission of the claim. After verification by the Sahara Societies, the Authorized verifier and CRCS will process your claim in the next 15 days. Depositors will receive a notification via SMS/Email if their claim has been approved or rejected. The refund of the claimed amount will be directly credited to Depositor’s Aadhaar linked bank account only after 45 days from the date of successful claim submission.

CRCS Sahara Refund Portal 2023

The central government has a portal (https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/) on 18 July 2023 for the submission of legitimate claims by the genuine depositors of four Cooperative Societies namely:

1. Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.,
2. Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd.,
3. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., and
4. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.

At present, up to Rs 10000 will be paid by the government to eligible investors, which can be extended further. For this, investors can register by visiting Sahara Refund Portal mocrefund.crcs.gov.in.

The genuine depositors of these Societies may login the portal and submit their claims by filling online application form available on the portal and upload requisite documents.

Eligibility criteria

The genuine and legitimate Depositors of following four Sahara Societies are eligible for refund through the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal:
a. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata.
b. Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow.
c. Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal.
d. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad.

The Depositors must have made deposits & have outstanding dues receivable before the following dates, for filing a claim request:
22nd March 2022 for:
a. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata.
b. Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow.
c. Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal.

29th March 2023 for:
a. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad.

Steps for new registration (Download guide here)

1. Click on Depositor Registration
2. For Depositor Registration, you need to enter 12 digit Membership Number, last 4 digit Aadhaar Number, 10 digit Aadhaar linked Mobile Number, captcha and press on “Get OTP”
3. Enter the OTP received on Aadhaar linked Mobile Number and complete the Registration process

Steps for depositor login (Download guide here)

1. Click on Depositor login
2. On Depositor Login Screen, enter last 4 digit Aadhaar Number, 10 digit Aadhaar linked Mobile Number, captcha and click on “Get OTP”.
3. Enter the OTP received on Aadhaar linked Mobile Number.
4. Once Depositor Logged in, Depositor will see Aadhaar Consent Screen. Move to next Page after Accepting the terms and conditions by clicking on “I Agree” button.
5. On Personal Details Screen, enter 12 Digit Aadhaar Number and click on “Get OTP”. The depositor will receive OTP on Aadhaar linked Mobile Number
6. Enter OTP and press on Verify OTP
7. After Verifying OTP, the system displays the Aadhaar user details like First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Father/ Husband Name
8. Also user can enter Email and then click on “Save Email” and press the “Next” button
9. Depositor will enter details as displayed on the screen.
10. Click on “Add Claim” Button and Depositor will see all details in the below grid. Here, the Depositor will be able to add multiple Claim Details
11. Once all Claim details are entered, Generate Prefilled Claim Request Form
12. “Please ensure that all claims have been entered, before generating forms. After which Depositor will not be able to make any changes or make additional claims.”
13. Affix the recent photograph and duly sign across the photo as well as the Claim form.
14. On the “Upload Documents” Screen, upload the Claim Form and PAN Card copy. (PAN Card is mandatory, if Claim Amount is Rs.50,000 or above.)
15. Thank you Page will display with a Claim Request Number. Kindly note the Claim Request Number for future reference

The Depositor has to provide details of all the deposits across all Sahara societies where the Depositor has outstanding dues receivable by adding all the claim details, one by one, in a single claim form.
